Hello everyone in Youtube Land! Welcome to the Classical Music Challenge. This is actually a survey about your opinion on Classical Music. Over the last several decades, there has been only a very small market for this kind of music. The great composers like Bach, Mozart, Brahms, Sibelius, Beethoven, Wagner, Mahler, Debussy and so many others are overlooked in favour of contemporary pop music. No one has ever said that pop music wasn’t valid. However many people feel that Classical Music can offer something more. This is the opinion held by many people who find that Classical Music offers much more depth in the music listening experience. So, what is this challenge all about? I am simply asking your honest opinion on what you think of Classical Music. Is it out of date? Is it meaningless? Is it boring? Think about why you don’t like it and be prepared to give a good reason. Before you give your answer, why not take some time to actually listen to some classical music. The amount of time you listen depends on you. I would like for people to at least listen to about 15 – 30 minutes of Classical Music, or even longer. You can get it from the internet or the radio or wherever. Perhaps you are already a Classical Music fan and just want to express your opinion.
