should the people who organize the cockfighting win or the government?
i think that cockfighting is a not a sport. here is the article on this matter. please read it and give me your opinion.

    Cockfighting and dog fighting need be banned and severe punishment handed down. I’m not a PETA person because I think they are a joke but I agree with them on this one,

  6. Well, that the government is slaughtering the cocks during/after raids doesn’t really make any sense. $ 7 mil. seems like an awful lot for such an under the table gambling scheme. I imagine the government will win this case.

    Just had a thought though. Aren’t cock-fighting and dog-fighting similar to the prestigious bull-fighting in Spain (and elsewhere)? All of us have our own definition of “sport”….here’s the definition:

    An active pastime; recreation. A specific diversion usually involving physical excersize and having a set form and body of rules.

    So, I guess I’m neutral on this one. Cocks fight naturally in the wild. To have them penned to fight for wagers. I don’t know how ethical that is. Can’t say.

  8. I think it should be outlawed along with dog fighting. That is just cruel to do animals this way.Government should outlaw this.

    I think they are both wrong. I don’t like the idea of training animals to kill or maim other animals, but the government killed 700 chickens!
