  1. E is most likely,

but I’ll put a little faith in B, the Pirates, though it is unlikely they will do much.

  2. orioles

  3. E BECAUSE METS WILL

    E.

The A’s (maybe I’m being biased) got a year older in their pitching staff. Anderson had a pretty decent year last year and I expect him to repeat. Braden wasn’t bad either, and had Outman not gotten injured he may have been outstanding. I am very optimistic about the bullpen with “daily” Bailey and Wuertz. If we get Devine back from injury and get Zielger in his 08 form our pitching staff may be pretty good. The offense worries me, though. Kouzmanoff is not going to give us much help and neither is Crisp.

  5. I’d say from that group the Orioles. They have a lot of young talent. I don’t think they’re really ready to challenge for that division yet, but of the teams you listed, I think they have the most overall talent.

  6. I see the Royals as having improved their team the most this winter, but they still won’t be able to catch Minnesota in the AL Central and wild card is doubtful also. I think it will be a mild surprise if they get close to 80 games. I don’t see the other teams you mentioned approaching that number.

  7. it’s gonna be E. but the best team out of those four will be the royals. i would pick the orioles if they were in a different division.

  8. E….the Giants may be the sleeper in 2010.

    D) Orioles

They have really good well-balance hitting from top to bottom in their lineup. And as I recall the 2002 Giants only had really good hitting (and one top notch closer) and yet they made it to the World Series that year.

    C) I think the Royals will do alot better than expected but I doubt they will completely WOW anyone this season.

I think the Mariners are going to one of those teams that is going to jump up and bite some team’s back side. Just sayin, I think Seattle is going to have a really good year, maybe not a World Series year, but a great year.

I highly doubt the Mets will have any sort of major improvement. With that team, that staff and that field there just ain’t no way in God’s Holy name the Mets are going to be able to live up to the what the Mets’ fans are wanting them to do. Will they do better than last year? Heck yeah, it would be harder to do worse. Will they make the playoffs? Wouldn’t count on it.

I see some good things in a few teams that sat out the playoffs this year, and I think the World Series teams are going to suprise alot of people this year, because so many teams improved alot over the offseason. And the teams that wowed everyone last year are only so far ahead of the teams that improved.

The Nationals just because they have the lowest expectations as they were the worst team in all of baseball last season. Even the people answering this question dismiss the Nationals.

  14. E, none of them have the pitching the Rays had…

  15. I think that the Astros are going to win 120 games

    HAHA Just Kidding

I think that the Giants are going to surprise everyone and do very well this year.
Also the biggest surprise is going to be the Marineers no doubt. they have improved so much this off season i think they could be a playoff contender in the next few years. they have potential

  16. E. I have a feeling the Reds are going to become a serious contender this year in the NL. They have the hitting, and the pitching, but somehow they have to make it work. If not this year, I believe the Reds will be a force to be reckoned with in the NL Central in a few years.

The Orioles, if their pitching staff holds up this year they could be a little competitive this year.

  19. Royals have Hochevar and Greinke. You never know, the Central is not that overpowered by the Twins. It is not inconceivable.

  20. E..

    E) In comparison to the Rays in 2008, I don’t see any of these teams doing that well. I tried, but I just can’t.

  24. Nationals.
