Job for 16 year old over the summer that can coexist with drivers ed. class on long island?
So, i just turned 16, got my learners permit and really want to sign up to drivers ed class over the summer so i can get my senior license at 17. I would just take drivers ed during fall, winter or spring, but im on all varsity sports teams every season and to my coaches, missing practice once a week is unacceptable. I also am trying to save up around 6,000 dollars for a car. I have 2,500 now thanks to lawn mowing,and birthdays but am looking for a real job. this is my problem. I want to apply for a job working for the town of islip, the beaches or some store/restaurant, like: best buy, toys r us, best yet, checkers, etc. but am worried that if i commit to drivers ed over the summer from 7 to 10 in the morning twice a week, then employers will not want to hire me since im being picky about my hours. i really dont know what to do. i havent signed up for drivers ed yet and am not sure if i should. Does anyone know of a job that doesnt start till after 10:30 or lets me have a flexible schedule?
and if you dont what do you suggest i do? should i take drivers ed or apply for a job. thanks. (and please dont tell me any jobs like lawnmowing, caddying, or online jobs, like survey taker because im looking for a reliable job with steady hours and promised pay.)
I have earned money in the past by selling junk on ebay. First it was my own junk and later it was other people’s junk. But ebay has become awful recently, they take all your money.
