1. I think abortion should be rare as possible. i know women want rights to their own bodies, but they should be encouraged to use birth control rather than cause suffering to something. I would prefer it to be illegal except in certain circumstances, but you can’t always get what you want. Rare>illegal.
2. It is found in nature, so it is natural
3. Legal, of course. I don’t see how this is an issue, no person in Amercia should have more rights than any other. If homosexual marriage is illegal, so should divorce and premarital sex.
4. Right. Religions should not enforce laws. If they did, you end up with something like Sharia law.
5. Right. There is no reason not to allow people to practice any religion they want.
I am a Catholic Christian from the USA.
1- Illegal (Except in th case where it would kill and or injure the mother or child severly)
2- Un-Natural

As to the guy before me, you and I and everyone else, are getting thumbs down for not agreeing with the beliefs of those giving the rating. Anything conservative on here, such as protecting the life of an unborn child, will meet with hatred.

2) unnatural (all the homosexuals i’ve known have been brought up in a VERY strange way. The guy’s mom walked around NUDE! if my mom walked around nude i’m not sure if i would be straight! haha)
3) illegal. Marriage should be between a man and a woman. But what they do behind closed doors is between them and God.
4) wrong. God ordains any country that lives by Him.
5) right. We can’t stop other people from following their religion. all we can do is show them the light.

From Mexico
Aww, you’re boring
I want to answer too!
1. Legal but extremely rare. Abortion should not be taught as a primary form of birth control (as I believe it is). Birth control pills and condoms should play a larger part in a childs education. I am wholely pro-choice, and think a woman has the right to do what she wants with her body, and I recognise that a early fetus is not a human being – however, abortion is not something that should be happening as often as it is.
2. Natural, completely.
3. Legal. Don’t see any reason why not.
4. Right, very.
5. Right! Everyone should have the right to believe what they want as long as it doesn’t affect others badly, or affect themselves badly! Religion is a great thing for culture and society – the problem is, it can infringe on education and the rights of others (saying no to gay marriage in voting, for example) – but freedom of religion is a GOOD thing!

In all these I agree with God and His Word: this is my opinion
Christian from the US
1) Illegal
2) unnatural

4) government should stay out of religion this does not mean religion has to stay out of government
5) right
Seventh-Day Adventist (fundamentalist Christian)

1. illegal. (This is a human-rights issue, not a religious issue.)
2. unnatural and immoral. Equivalent to bestiality.
3. illegal. Marriage has already been defined as between one man and one woman, and neither government nor anyone else has a right to redefine it.
4. right. What many Christians fail to realize is that if the government and church unite and end up enacting laws that affect how one may worship, that may end up negatively affecting them as well, depending on what your church believes.
5. right
1. Illegal
2. not natural
3. illegal

Christian and fro the US
1. A medical procedure should always be LEGAL – but that doesn’t mean the ACT is right.
2. Natural – obviously to some it is quite natural. BUT God said we are to put OFF the “natural man”…
3. Traditional Marriage and Gay Unions should remain two separate
legal bonds.
4. Of course right.
5. Religious Freedom – no brainer. That is what this country (USA) is founded on.
LDS/USA/CALIFORNIA
1. Legal, but more emphasis on education to prevent as many abortions as possible. Young people need to KNOW their consequences and prepare for them.
2. Natural
3. Legal – it’s a rights and human equality issue
4. Right – the Constitution says that we have freedom OF religion; there should be no state religion.
5. Right – all should worship in the religion (or lack thereof) as they wish
1. illegal.
2. NOT natural- proof in our reproductive ability.
3. illegal
4. I think Godly morals should influence the leaders of our country- but not forcing anyone to believe a certain doctorine. (which is what i believe to be seperation of church and state… notice how it says CHURCH, not GOD)
5. right.
1.) Legal, preferably in the case of rape, incest or danger to the life of the mother, but it is not my place to prevent others.
2.) Natural.
3.) Legal, since this is a matter of the state and no religion has the right to interfere. The US Constitution’s 14th Amendment makes gay marriage a right, since it requires equal protection under the laws, and gay citizens would not have this unless they are able to marry.
4.) Right, religion should not impose itself on others, or it becomes empty and meaningless, it has to be a choice.
5.) Religious freedom is certainly right. God does not compel others to worship, it is a choice.
I am a Muslim living in America.
1- abortion is a sin when the baby is over 4 months old.
2- If a person caused himself to be homo , its a sin but if u were like that or have been abused , its natural.
3- not at all , if it was , humans will die out (no more pregnancy)
4- the mousque , church or a temple are all places that God has written its rules , and no Creature would know more than God does .
5- in Quran (thats what i know most) God has declared that there is never a power forcing anyone to adopte any religion (or atleast islam)
.
hope i have helped.
1. illegal it’s murder (law and biblically)
2. it is not natural. it is a learned behavior just like you learn to like the opposit sex
3. illegal it is against God’s will and his law and it’s just plain nasty
4. wrong because this country was founded on biblical principles
5. right i’m glad we have the freedom to believe whatever we please.
Christian. US.
1. Legal. I dont like abortion, but there really is not a viable alternative. The foster system is already over loaded, back alley black market abortions are 100 times worse than legal abortion and I honestly do not believe that these women would take care of their bodies properly during a pregnancy they dont want.
2. Natural. Every single species has homosexuality. There is genetic research that shows genetic differences on a majority of the homosexual people sampled. To me that denotes natural. I also have some gay relatives, one of which tried a very long time to be straight and live a straight life… but she isnt straight. Also, study of the Biblical verses that condem homosexuality going back to the original texts and first translations suggest it was actually talking about male prostitution. I mean really, what does effeminate mean? That is the word in one of the new testment verses in the King James version that people use to condem homosexuality. THe definition of effeminate is NOT and never was homosexuality, and actually can be twisted to mean a ton of different things.
3. Compleetly legal. LEGAL marriage has NOTHING to do with God, religion or the church. The state got in the business of giving couples who wanted to file their personal relationships as a contract to get extra rights and benefits, and the state should not be discirminating which couples it gives those rights to.
4. Right. Although, it is hard to completly seperate all religion from state. I mean, murder is against the law, and almost all people agree with that… BUT, its one of the ten commandments. Should laws against murder be banned because murder is a religious law?
5. Right. There are a ton of different religious bleliefs out there. The specifics are different between them, but the core is all the same. There is a supreme being and that supreme being is trying to teach you right from wrong. I also believe people should have the right to not believe in religion. Who am I to judge what others believe?
1. Life is precious, and abortion should be kept to a minimum not as a form of birth control.
2. Since a homosexual relationship can not reproduce it is in my book unnatural.
3. By definition marriage is to be between a man and a woman, so illegal by definition.
4. The Separation of Church and State is to keep the things of the past from happening again in Government, not striping the rights of the governed. If applied correctly it is right, when abused it is wrong.
5. Religiously we all should have our own freedom to worship the way we choose. Even the Romans allowed the nations they concurred to worship the what they wanted in their own temples, with the stipulation that their temples of their gods were available as well. In a nutshell yes religious freedom is right.
Total separation of church and state is impossible, the main reason being that the State has the responsibility to protect freedom of religion; that is, to make sure anyone is allowed the freedom to practice his religion. Also people that hold public office still have the right to believe in their religion.
I’ll give short answers.
1. Do you think abortion should be legal or illegal?
A: Generally illegal. But there should be some exceptional cases(like if the mother is threatend with death, etc).
2. Is homosexuality natural or not natural?
A: Disgusting and unnatural
3. Should gay marriage be legal or illegal?
A: Illegal
4. Separation of church and state – right or wrong?
A: Religion should be a part of the nation.
5. Religious freedom – right or wrong?
A:Right
1. Abortion should be Illegal, unless the mother’s life is on the line. You cannot decide the fate of someone who has not committed any wrong.
2. I feel it is unnatural, but that’s my opinion and my religion’s stance.
3. Gay “marriage” should be illegal, since a “marriage” is between a man and a woman, but civil unions between homosexual couples doesn’t bother me. It’s just a matter of definition.
4. It’s fine either way with me. I’d be fine if Christianity was flaunted all over the place in the U.S, or the secular state we live in now.
5. It is right.
I am a muslim from the U.S.
1. Legal ;even though it is a sin in the Bible, I still believe women should
have the right to make their own choice; especially if the Mother’s life
is in danger.
2. Natural; I honestly believe most were born that way and have known
so since a very early age. I can’t see someone choosing a life of
persecution and it is not my place to judge; God is the final judge.
3. Illegal; although I do believe in the right to give them the same rights
as any unmarried couple.
4. Right; I don’t like government in my church or church in my
government. This is why so many fled to the New World to gain
freedom from and of religion so they may choose what to believe.
5. Right; that is what the US was based on when many fled to this
country; some wanted to be religious still but have their own
rights in what to believe and not have it sanctioned upon them by
their government.
Born Again Christian/USA
USA, Pentecostal
1. Illegal (murder)
2 unnatural (look at at the sex organs)
3 illegal (marriage is only between a man and a woman)
4 Right. The state should not regualate the church
5 Right (but not freedom from religion)
Christian
Not my job to judge another’s fate if they CHOOSE abortion or homosexuality or if they serve MANS views ~it is only required that I tell people that ALL can be forgiven when you turn to God. Hell is NOT a definite fate UNLESS you die unforgiven.
If we serve MAN instead of God , all of these points can be argued to the negative choice.
As a Christian I serve GOD, Not man~ so I keep Gods word in my heart when I decipher right and wrong.
I hate sin, but LOVE the sinner~ just as Christ did.
Why?
1. illegal
2. not natural
3.illegal
4.right
5. religious freedom? right
Christian, USA
USA, agnostic (ex-Christian)
1. Legal as long as not done for pure convenience sake.
2. Since it happens in nature with some species, natural by definition.
3. Legal – doesn’t invalidate hetrosexual marriage in any possible way.
4. Right, at least in the US – says so in the Constitution.
5. Same as 4
1. Abortion is illegal. God made abortion illegal. so the question of “should it be or…” is irrelevant. But God gave people choice so hey, whatever floats your boat.
2. Both. Everyone on earth has what is called a “jinn.” Say for instance you like to….overeat. Your jinn will whisper things like “Oh man this food is sooo good…you just gotta have more, just this once. It ain’t gonna hurt nothin’.” Then the jinn will go on and on till you become obese. Same thing in homosexuality.
Basically, homosexuality is a test. If one is able to control themselves and not give in to homosexuality, then the test is passed.
3. What would change if one or the other would happen? I would vote illegal, because it is already illegal.
4. If you want a state that is run by imperfect laws that need to be amended every-so-often, then separation is fine.
5. God says that there is no compulsion in religion because truth has been made clear from falsehood (Quran 2:256). Basically, God said religious freedom is right; you can take the truth…or leave it. Just don’t forget it was your choice.
I’m from the U.S. as are my parents, and their parents…then it kinda breaks off into some dutch peoples and so on….and I’m Muslim, alhamdulillah.
hello, i’m Muslim from Egypt
1. in the Quran God says, “don’t kill your children because you’re afraid of poverty” if someone is pregnant and she doesn’t want the baby, she can give him to a family that needs a baby but can’t have one (although i wouldn’t do that if i were a woman). generally i’m against abortion, parents should be go to work believing that God will give them for what they work, knowing that He will reward them for their efforts to keep the baby safe and not hungry.
2. i believe homosexuality is not natural, but i will never be able to make an objective opinion about that because i can’t get into their minds and see from their own perspective
3. i honestly don’t know
4. ok this is a big one
church should be related to the state, but this will be a desaster if the people of the country are not religious. i mean the head of the state should at least know the opinion of the church about his/her decisions.
Ordinary people’s relationship with the church is more important than the relationship between the church and the state
Summary of no. 4:
a church-state will not be successful if ordinary people are away from the church. but a state seperated than the church will be successful if ordinary people do what God says
5. religious freedom is absolutly RIGHT.
although not a lot of Muslims believe in that but:
in the Quran God says, “who wants to believe then believe and who wants not to believe then do not believe”
also in the Quran, “there is no enforcement or (making someone do something by force although they hate it) in religions”
i tried to translate the verses from the Quran from Arabic to English as accurate as i could, but it is hard to try to translate what you believe is the ultimate truth into another language. forgive me if my english is bad.
and i hope this helped you
1 Mitigating circumstances
2 Don’t know ,I’m not a homosexual
3 It’s not legal ,leave it alone
4 not separation of defining law
5 right =but everyone won’t
A five question survey not six !
I am a christian from UK
1 illegal – thou shalt not kill
2 illegal homosexuality is an abomination in the sight of the Lord.
3 illegal same reason as above
4 The church should be separate from the state as Christ is the Head of the Church not a person or institution.
5 Right – otherwise who do we oppress next.
1. Legal
2. Natural
3. Legal
4. Right
5. Right
Catholic from USA
Illegal – there is no reason whatsoever that you could give that would justify the killing on an innocent little baby for someone else’s sins
Not natural and it is also immoral
Not legal – see previous message
Separation yes, but not the the point that we have to disallow all public viewings of something that the vast majority of Americans believe in. If you don’t want to read, don’t read. The rest of us should be allowed to profess what we believe in. We are supposed to have freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion
Again- see previous answer. We are quickly becoming a country that is more and more being forced to be free FROM religion. That won’t continue to work without and uprising someday I’m afraid
Kp
Illegal for irresponsible teenagers who have sex around so many times without protection, without thinking, and wanting to shirk responsibility. To deter them from having sex around IRRESPONSIBLY and putting the child to death for their own folly and mistakes. Legal for rape victims etc.
Homosexuality, can be natural and learnt. I have friends who tried gay stuff, and were gay for a period of time, but eventually grew out of it. I also have friends who are gay and have never liked any girls in their lives.
Gay marriage should be illegal, because in Asia where I live, the family unit is important and gay marriages undermine the family unit.
Seperate church and state. Christianity is growing in Singapore where I live, but our country is modern, rich and is run by a secular government and we are all happy.
Religious freedom is good. Each his best. If you thik your religion is the best, then prove it, and work hard to win the people over. My country is multi-religious and you can see a temple beside a church or a church beside a mosque.
illegal- except when mothers life is in danger

< <1. Do you think abortion should be legal or illegal?>>
Illegal, should not be a law for or against it, should not be a “right” Government should protect its citizens from murder..regardless of their state (in the womb or on a ventilator) It should be a TRUE choice…as in, society will not help you…you do it on your own if you want to. Not everything should be a RIGHT and made “safe” by society
< <2. Is homosexuality natural or not natural?>>
Weird question… ahh.. it occurs naturally without chemical or medical procedure..so there is a natural aspect to it. You don’t take a pill or undergo reconstructive surgery to become homosexual. Homosexuals endure a lot of hardships and ridicule and they don’t “decide” to change their orientation. Many say they WOULD if they could..so it isn’t choice. However, the homosexual lifestyle I see as separate from the orientation. You can be homosexual in orientation, but not indulge that feeling by practicing a completely homosexual lifestyle.
< <3. Should gay marriage be legal or illegal?>>
illegal, Marriage should not be reduced to JUST about love of 2 adults. Marriage is MUCH more significant to society and culture then mere “love” it is about procreation, about stable platforms for a nuclear family, it is about our children and what is best for them. I do support “civil unions” not just for homosexuals but for any 2 people who want or need to form a bond to share resources and “love”
< <4. Separation of church and state - right or wrong? >> Right but taken too far in the U.S. — Government should not sanction or force 1 state religion on society, outlawing other religions as is done in some countries. BUT can incorporate religion and represent the views of the majority in government. I believe our forefathers were weary of government creating a “state religion” and forcing it on everyone as was the case in England, passing laws making it hard for other religions to exist. BUT, I don’t think government has to be devoid of ALL references to religion. Example: they can say “Christmas” as long as they don’t outlaw Hanuka or Kwanzaa
< <5. Religious freedom - right or wrong?>> Totally Right. A true religion can not use force to convert people. People should be allowed to make their own decision on such an important issue. Religious freedom is a two way street.. if you want to be respected then you have to respect.
For the record I am Catholic
1. In islam we believe the soul of the child enters after 40 days. So to abort before this period is allowed. This way women who have been raped/whatever are given a chance to get rid of the baby. However after 40 days it is not allowed.
2. Homosexuality is not natural as it does not promote continuation of the species (i hope i phrased that right). Plus if sex is involved then you can contract many diseases, another proof from god that this is not right.
3. Gay marriages should be illegal, same reason as #2
4. I believe a combination of both is perfect. Reason? The world is changing, peoples views are changing and we must adapt to that change, in islam Jihaad means to strive for god; this could be an act of war (which worked perfectly at the time of the crusades) but there are other ways to strive for god, peaceful preaching and da’waa. this is how we should do Jihaad now and only a combination of church and state can ensure this.
5. Definetely right and in fact islam promotes this. there are many verses in the quraan that speak of respect to other religions. i believe one verse goes as such: “Respect the religion of others and do not insult their gods, lest they insult yours..”
religion Islam
country Pakistan
I am a muslim who live in Indonesia.
1. Killing is normally illegal, but when the pregnancy endangers the life of the mother due to some certain kind of disease, it is considered legal.
2. Homosexuality is natural, but forbidden.
3. Since homosexuality is forbidden, gay marriage should be illegal.
4. I don’t care about churches. But if you’re asking about separation between Islam and state, I’d say it’s wrong. Why would we abandon a system that is proven to work (please research on islamic empire) just to adopt something new while we don’t see its benefit ?
5. Right. Islam teaching forbid muslims to force anybody to embrace Islam. Though there are severe punishment for those who turn their back on Islam after embracing Islam.
I think abortion should be legal in certain cases, I think homosexuality is not natural but same time nothing to do with me, gay marriage should be illegal it takes the piss out of the church and all basic religious belief, secular state is good seems to work out better, religious freedom is a basic human right, so long as you don’t affect anyones elses life with it.
English muslim convert.
1. illegal, only legal in cretin cases for example if a person was a victim of rape or incest or if it threatens the health of a women
2. not natural
3. Im against it but give them there rights as humans who are we to judge them. legal
4. Right
5. Right
1. Abortion should be legal – a legitimate medical procedure to save lives in dangerous circumstances but not to be used as a form of birth control
2. Homosexuality is not natural – the “natural” usage of the sexual organs and their function is apparent, so how can using a penis with an anus be natural? There are many reasons why people become homosexual, some of them are deep seated from childhood, others are life choices, however it does not make it natural. That said, any mistreatment or persecution of people because they are homosexual is wrong.
3. Same sex marriage should be legal granting the same rights as heterosexual civil marriages – but if same sex partners want a religious ceremony they should find a religion that holds that homosexuality is right or acceptable to their teachings, and not try to force adherents of any faith to change their beliefs to compromise.
4. Both – State should not be able to enforce a religion on the people but the free practice and following of a faith should also not be prevented by the state but upheld as a human right.
5. Religious freedom is right. No-one should be prevented from following the religion of their choice, so long as that freedom does not harm or take away the rights of others.
An example – a Christian that believes homosexuality is wrong can refuse to provide goods or services to them. I am talking about services like wedding organisers, photographers etc. In cases where actual harm may ensue, such as medical services, then that would be wrong to refuse.
My religion is Christianity, I am in the UK, and it would be nice for you to tell us the purpose you have for this survey – is it for a homework assignment?
