If you paid $600 for a terrible service but got resources out of it, would you make a friend go through the same thing or would you tell them how to do it for cheaper?

A bank paid my property taxes. The county is not willing to refund the money. Am I legally required to pay back the bank? The county stated that the payment is a gift and I have not requirement. I am looking for a more legal reference.

this guy is collecting disability, and he is also getting paid cash by the owner…This really is irritating for two reasons,
1. i dislike the guy
2 mainly, as a tax payer, my money should not be going to him for his fake disability.
