I recently got invited to do a survey for this focus group in NYC. Has anyone had experience with them and are they legit? How is it like?

I wanted to know if this was a scam. i got this email today about getting money by doing surveys.?

Take surveys and participate in online focus groups. Make sure you dont turn down anything they send you.. these surveys and groups are invite through email but the thing is you make more money off their refferal bonus than surveys. You will make $2 for each time your refferal completes one and $1 for eveytime theirs completes one. You will make money doing nothing.
