has anybody tried to earn money “takin surveys” online? is it a scam?
i recently found a website from my college on how to earn a lot of money by taking surveys online. i dont get how it is so easy to get such easy money that way. it seems too good to be true.

I do surveys through Pinecone Research. You make 3 bucks a survey and sometimes free products to test out, and you usually get the checks the same week you do the surveys. I usually get 2-4 surveys a week.

At this site, you can take surveys (or complete “offers” which are very similar) and get points or cash in return. If you choose to receive points, you can use those points to buy anything on Amazon.com (100 = $1.00 and a survey is typically 70-90 points) If you choose to receive cash, you can cash out via paypal, check, etc — there are lots of options.
Make sure to read up on tips and advice to make sure your offers actually credit (there are resources on the site for this). You can search google or youtube about it — it has a really good rep and a lot of proof. (You can choose to have your points convert to cash or use them in Amazon.com)
Oh! I forgot, it’s free. And you don’t ever have to use your real address or anything (until you get around to ordering a reward, obviously) and you don’t ever have to actually COMPLETE the trials, just click the page and wait til it loads. So basically you’re getting paid to look at ads and “consider” them, though you never have to do them.

Why do you think that everyday multiple times a day Yahoo Answers gets spammed with this sign up to do surveys baloney?
If these people who spam this board were making so much money..why would they want to let anyone else in on it? Wouldn’t they want to keep it to themselves so they could do all the surveys? LOL Also, if they were making so much money ( ha, saw one respond to you saying she makes 20k a month? OH come on..but if she were, why is she trolling Yahoo Answers? How does she have the time? ) If they were so busy with these surveys, they wouldn’t be looking for *marks* on sites like this. They would be counting their money on some deserted island.
Of course not, because the game is you get a bunch of people to sign up under your link and you make pennies that way besides filling out a gazillion surveys, giving out your email that will be flooded with crap and possibly having to give your debit or credit card to them..or having to download something that will turn your computer into a zombie.

Yes and no. There are sites out there which are total scams. But there are some that are legit. For making money I use these sites. Check them out, they really help me.

So long as you know that you still have to work hard to make money from home, and there are no real ways to get instantly rich, etc then take a look at my profile.
It’s not referrals, surveys, data entry or any other scams. (Surveys are worth almost nothing.)
Goodluck – and as someone who does work from home I’d advise you to think first, because you do often miss the social stuff.
The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys.
Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics — e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old — and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey — you’re definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.
Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don’t earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).
