get paid for doing online surveys? is this a rip off? a scam? what?

im trying to get involved in this to earn extra money but so far i think its a scam cos it just goes on and on…….

so what do you think ?

  1. At least 99.99% of surveys are either scams or pay so little it is just not worth doing them.

  2. I signed up to do that, once. Consider it spam in your mailbox. You have to fill out an awful lot of surveys to get maybe 3 cents. And on top of that, you are asked to give away an awful lot of your own information.

    There are legit online jobs, but you have to jump through a few more hoops to get them. I have a couple of relatives who work online. You can go to sites like QVC, hotels sites, etc.. and check around for applying for a job with them. There is usually a place where you can apply to be a call taker. There is usually a brief training and then you sign in to work certain hours. Basically, when people call in to order something they saw on tv, they might be calling you or some other person working off their home computer. You read off your computer screen everything you are supposed to say and ask.. then take the caller’s info and order… place the order.. and wait for the next call. You have to work a lot to earn the extra money… and you won’t get rich doing this… but, it keeps my 2 relatives’ heads above the water.

  3. One site that I like is called Swagbucks. You join and log in and you can earn points for doing things such as taking surveys, creating polls, or even searching for a site using their search engine. They have many cool prizes and theyre very reliable. it seems like it will take awhile to save enough points to get the prizes but they really add up quick. I’d recommend it.

  4. Not so much a scam as a major waste of time. You just do not get paid enough for the amount of time involved. There are a lot better ways to make a few bucks.

    I think you are on the right track figuring out early on it is a scam and you will never get paid… LOL
