Are there any sites to make money online that AREN’T scams?!?
I’ve seen all of these sites where you can take surveys or be a secret shopper and get paid for it. But they always turn out to be scams. Do any of them actually do what they say? I would love to go shopping or eat at a restaurant and get paid for it! But you know what they say, if it’s too good to be true, it probably isn’t true.

Yeah you’re right. There are some online sites that pay you that are not scams. I actually use a blog and promote only the programs that have paid me and are paying me. In addition, before you sign up for any program, visit http://www.mazu.com; they will provide you information about potential scams and what to steer clear of.
If you like to blog, that is a good way to get the message out about any product you like and use (and promote).
My sister uses a secret shopper program that has paid her and actually turned into a part time gig as a merchandiser with WalMart.
She paid a one time fee of 29.99, gets paid a nice amount of money to shop. She just earned $50, a free hotel suite for she and her husband with this shopper program. It’s a lot of fun for her.
The secret shopper program she uses is: http://www.mysteryshop.com
no, they are all scams
Not all of them are scams, unfortunately the vast majority are. Mysteryshopping is great, you just have to find the right one. If youhave to pay to sign up you can bet your bottom that the site is probably a third party site or something. I, in college, had a mysteryshopping gig, I just stopped doing it and can’t remember the site off the top of my head. They didn’t pay you to shop, but rather paid your receipt…so I guess they kind of did. I used to get cloths, and free food(in college this is like winning the lotto)
Beyond that there are many, many legitimate programs out there. I personally have http://www.opendomain.ws which is up and running but will be changing shortly to accomodate the many questions you see on the web. This will basically show you how to turn your free time on the web into an income stream.
Keep in mind that in anything be it mysteryshopping or online businessing or real world jobbing everything requires hard work and effort and you get what you put in.
Also, any promises that you’ll make millions overnight or heck even in the course of a year are bold face lies…stay clear of those sites.
You are right to be cautious there are alot of scams out there. I know from personal experience. But I found a great company that is upfront and honest. If you want some more information you can email. Good luck either way!
There are several survey sites that are legit. Do not give anyone your SSN there are lots of sites out there that are legit and they do not need this info from you. Nor do you have to pay to join. I am a member of several. The one I have had the most luck with is Lightspeed. They do not pay you cash you get points which can be converted into cash via pay pal. However, they send me the most surveys. And already twice now I have been asked to participate in a more extensive survey in which I was sent a palm pilot in the mail and asked to record certain daily activities. The ones I have completed offered a $50 incentive and that was in the form of a check in addition to the points I received for completing the initial survey. I have also done survey savy which has a great referral program if you know people who will join you get money for surveys they complete. I have also tried American Consumer Opinion. They pay by check in mail for all surveys, but I have not been able to complete many of their surveys. I did a lot of research before joining these. You also need to be a regular email checker because if you don’t respond to the survey fast enough they have met their quota. I am pleased with these sites and looking to join some new ones.
Most pay a few dollars per survey completed so it is best to use several. If you would like to give me a referral credit use the link in my profile for survey savvy and the other websites are listed there as well. Good luck!
I have joined one mystery shop company and I did three shops and got paid for them through paypal. I liked this company because they paid through paypal and did not require SSN to sign up. Also all it required was to go a store and buy alcohol and report if they carded you or not. You are required to be between 21 and 26. They also have some stores and some restaurants, but you just get paid for your meal. I liked the alcohol one cause you got $9 for each shop. I did three in a row in about 1 1/2 hours and got $27. Anyways I am no longer in that age category so I can’t do them anymore. jancyn.com
