Those companies promise big rewards and the amount of surveys you need to do is really phenomenal. It’s the perpetual carrot in front of the horse routine..no matter how hard you try you can never reach it.
There may be a couple honest ones…but I haven’t heard of them.
There are a few legitimate survey companies. For example, Harris Poll is quite famous and has been around since long before internet surveys were invented. They pay in “points” for completed surveys and when you collect enough points, you can trade points for various consumer items. There are others who do a similar thing.
Most the “survey” companies advertising on the Internet are outright scams, phishing expeditions, etc. If you have to “participate” that means you have to buy into several deals to get some sort of freebie. These are not “surveys” at all!
Working for legitimate companies is not at all lucrative — completing several surveys per week for a number of companies may net you a couple of CDs and maybe $20 or $40 per YEAR.
