I have just signed up for Vindale Research, allegedly a safe survey online. I have my reservation though and suspect that my email inbox will get spammed now. Is getting paid for taking surveys online really true and safe?

I have taken online surveys before, and some sites really DO pay you money, gift cards, or you can add up points and use those points to redeem products. No joke, I’ve recieved checks and gift cards in the mail! It’s true. You just have to be very careful to which ones you sign up for, because some are indeed fake, and spam your inbox like crazy.
I would recommend setting up another email address (apart from your personal email) for surveys only. That’s what I did. That way, you don’t risk setting up your personal or work email for a lot of spam if you end up signing for a fake survey site.

Yes, they are really geared towards collecting your information, they could care less about your opinion or answers to the actual survey. It’s just ways of collecting your tastes and interests, so when they spam you, they know what to spam you with based on your interests.
