Are internet survey panels all just scams?

I get all these emails telling me to join survey panels and get money, but when I do, they always say I have to buy like a lot of things before I get my money. Are these just rip-offs or are there real survey panels out there that are up-front?

    If there’s a real one out there, I’ve yet to see it. Pretty much any survey site (and 99.95% of all the “make money from home” crap that gets pushed in the ‘careers and employment’ section) is complete crap.
